VOLUNTEERING AT TASTE OF WICKHAM
The Taste of Wickham festival is back on Sunday 13 September and our friendly team would love your help!
As a Taste of Wickham festival volunteer, you’ll play an essential role in ensuring the success of this fantastic community celebration.
Your tasks might include assisting with event setup and decor, guiding stallholders, assisting attendees, providing information about the festival, and helping to ensure that the event is a huge success!
Volunteers will enjoy free refreshments, plus a lovely day filled with fun!
There are lots of different ways to get involved, both before the event and on the day...
Before the event…
- Sourcing raffle donations
- Delivering flyers and letters to residents
- Collecting and delivering equipment
- Putting up signage and banners around the local area
On the day…
- Helping to set-up on the day (putting up gazebos, tables, signage etc, 8am-9am and 4-6pm)
- Marshalling stallholder arrival (7.45am-11am)
- Road closure point marshalling (shift rota between 10.45am and 6pm)
- Welcome stewards (general help around the site, 10.30am-4pm)
- Helping in the tombola and children’s craft tent on the day (10.30am-4.30pm)
- Photography, film making and live social media (11am-4pm)
