Parking
As well as Wickham’s existing car parks, we will be opening 3 extra car parks especially for the event. These are shown on the map opposite and will also be signposted on the day. All car parks are FREE. Please note that the location of the Park and Ride this year is DIFFERENT to previous years.
Taste of Wickham Park and Ride (PO17 5HE)
This new and improved parking area will be the largest car park and will offer easy access in and out. 3 buses will operate from 9:45am until the last people leave shortly after 4pm, and it is completely free. The entrance is opposite McCarthy’s on Winchester Road, and the bus stops at the Winchester Road entrance to the Square. Disabled parking is also available at this car park (on hard ground) but regrettably our minibuses are unable to take passengers in wheelchairs.
Park Place Pastoral Centre: Park and Stride (PO17 5HA)
There is an easy walk (around 7 minutes) from here to the Square and this will be signposted on the day.
Disabled Parking and Drop Off Point
Limited disabled parking will be available for badge holders only in the lay-by outside Green’s Restaurant (PO17 5JQ) but this parking fills up very quickly. If this car park is full, we suggest you park at the Park and Ride car park and take the bus (disabled parking at the P&R is on hard ground, not a field). Alternatively, we have a disabled drop-off point at the Winchester Road entrance to the Square. Drivers will be directed in and out of this drop-off point in the direction indicated in the map to the right. If drivers need to go to car parks, they are requested to drive down to the roundabout to make a u-turn and return back up Winchester Road.
Bicycle Parking
If you’re cycling to Taste of Wickham, we have a bike racks to park and lock up your bicycles. This will be located on the cobbles behind the bus stop and next to the loos.
